Maria Brink

 Maria Brink was born December 18 1977. She is an American singer/songwriter. In This Moment has released seven studio albums and receiving four nominations, two of which came from Alternative Press Music Awards and one from Grammy Awards. Brink is also acknowledged as the "Rock Goddess of the Year", "Hottest Female in Metal" in 2010 and one of the 11 women who are important in heavy metal by Yell! Magazine in 2012, and was recognized by Revolver Magazine as one of the "25 Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock & Metal".The first band Brink was ever part of was one of the Albany New York-based band called Pulse before she moved to California. In 2002, she was 25 years old, she relocated to Los Angeles to find a band to join. Prior to getting a band, she worked in stores, and sang in coffee shops and bars. After an audition, she came across Chris Howorth in 2004. Howorth was initially wary to engage Brink as a singer because she was a woman. Howorth apologized to Brink and hired Brink as her vocalist the next day. They were formed Dying Star with Jeff Fabb as drummer. Then, Blake Bunzel and Josh Newell joined as guitarists. In the following months, the band changed their name to In This Moment
