
Kelly Clarkson, in full Kelly Brianne Clarkson, (born on April 24, 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.), American musician, singer and TV personality who emerged as a pop-rock superstar after having won the telecast talent show American Idol in 2002. Clarkson was born in Burleson (Texas) located in which is a suburb located near Fort Worth. Her vocal ability was noticed at the age of seven by the teacher who taught choir at her school. After graduating from high school, Clarkson moved in Los Angeles, where she was unsuccessful in her attempt to enter show business. Returning to Texas In 2002, Clarkson participated in FOX Broadcasting Company's American Idol. This singing competition allowed viewers to vote on their favorite performer. Clarkson's captivating voice, enthusiasm and humor attracted viewers. Clarkson took home $1 million and a contract recording in partnership with RCA to be her reward.
