Harry Edward Styles or Harry Styles as he's referred to for the music world is a British composer and singer. Harry Styles belongs to the group One Direction. In Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school where, with three other students, he created his own group of musicians, called White Eskimo. Their outstanding performances allowed them to take home the Battle of Bands 2009. In spite of always having been a fan of music, He also wished to become the next lawyer or physiotherapist. In order to provide for his family, he took an hour or so working in a bakery. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in 2010 and did Is not She Lovely, the Stevie Wonder song. He was selected. This meant that the group he was in had to be separated. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury participant on The X Factor suggested Harry Styles be part of a group called One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in 2010. The five-piece band was sponsored by Cowell, and they were the first to sing Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. They were among the best contenders for the competition. They were however 3rd place, in the third place, behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles did not receive a prize, however Cowell made a deal worth 2 million pounds to One Direction in order for them to join Syco Records.
